This school year has been amazing so far! This week we finished out the fun with Grinch Week, a field trip to The Thinkery, and our holiday party! Our Pig House PBL (Project Based Learning) unit has begun! So far we have: * learned our Driving Question: How can we, as real estate developer, design, build, and market the cheapest house that will protect Ruby from the dog? * compared Three Little Pig stories to learn about what worked and didn't work for their houses * met Ruby and interviewed her family to find out how to build and what Ruby likes * designed our pig houses on paper and in Minecraft What has been your favorite part so far? We are so excited to be partnering with Mrs. Horzelenberg's class in Canada to participate in the Amy Krouse Rosenthal Picture Book study. We exchanged class introduction videos and shared predictions about what the story Chopsticks would be about. You can follow the GRA's Twitter feed using #GRAAmy .

Second grade has begun Appy Friday!! Every other Friday we will be teaching the students different apps that we will use in the classroom for collaboration and presentation.
